6 Weeks

Ahhh! Slight panic. Between the graduation parties and surprise med school deadline, the first week of summer flew by way too fast.

Ok, the deadline for the pre-entrance health requirements form wasn’t supposed to be a surprise; we just didn’t receive the email notification (possibly because we were accepted through the early decision program which we will talk about later). Part of the med school registration process requires that you are up-to-date on several immunizations like tetanus, diptheria, and more. Some of these immunizations take several days, so plan ahead and call your school to confirm deadlines.

The LLU handbook states that these requirements are necessary because “Loma Linda University is committed to providing a healthy environment for learning through a comprehensive program to prevent communicable disease using the latest scientific information and procedures. This includes educating individuals regarding the reduction of communicable disease transmission, and the need for immunizations.”
