Shows like Vampire Diaries or the Walking Dead make the dead seem so thrilling and intriguing. Med school bring about an entirely different perspective. We spend at least two hours a week in the anatomy lab and many hours studying for the lectures.
3, 2, 1!!! Sundown! Oh how we love Sabbaths. 24 precious hours to rest, recover, and rejuvenate.
We only have one week left before our second set of tests. So, one more week of information on top of the huge pile we have already. These past few weeks have been particularly biochem heavy.
This week we enjoyed a mini-vacation of sorts. No, sadly it wasn’t a 3-day weekend (apparently Columbus Day isn’t quite monumental enough). However, we were able to enjoy a “week of prayer,” well at least that what we used to call it in high school and undergrad.
In addition to the college classes we listed in our last post, there is one more area you may consider studying up on–accents. Med school professors come from all around the world. So far we have had lectures in the following accents: Texan, British, Aussie, Peruvian, and Chinese.
